What is the Higganum Vision Group?
The Higganum Vision Group was conceptualized in 2008 with the vision of encouraging the thoughtful development of the existing village while preserving the town’s natural and cultural assets, thus improving the quality of life for this and future generations. The group’s premier project, the Higganum Village Farmers' Market, was conceived of as a means of revitalizing Higganum Village and promoting local sustainability through a lively neighborhood experience that nurtures our sense of community, supports local farmers and artisans, and makes farm-fresh foods and products available on a weekly basis. This successful project is now enjoying its second season.
The Higganum Vision Group formally convened in August 2009, adopting the mission of providing the community the knowledge, skill, and ability needed to develop a thriving Business Center surrounded by farmsteads, woodlands and waterways in order to provide for the community’s health and well-being, economic vitality, cultural continuity, and connection with nature.

Learn more: Our montly meetings take place on the third Tuesday of each month in the Grange Hall above the soon-to-be-opened Grist Mill Market, at the corner of Rt. 154 & 81.
