For two years the Higganum Vision Group (HVG) has been working to ‘Capture the Vision’ of Haddam’s community. With Nancy Meyers at the helm, HVG has reached out to over 270 citizens at more than a dozen sessions to find out what their vision is for Haddam’s future.
The 2012 HVG Annual Meeting will help to set us on the path toward realizing the community’s vision. A brief business meeting, including a summary of those sessions, will be followed by a special program featuring two planning experts who will share their insights on how we, as a community, can influence Higganum’s future.
Susan Westa, AICP presents Planning for Rural Communities
A UConn Extension Educator with over 20 years of experience, Susan focuses on innovative tools and techniques that help communities protect what they value while continuing to grow. She will explain what planning is and the steps the planning process should follow.
